24 Hours at the 25hours Hotel Zurich West
Zurich. Either a horrendously expensive hotel or you might look for a cheap hostel oustide the city. These were once the only options you had for the capital of European Money. Well, extremely good that Zurich West developed to a new centre and many new hotels were opened. While the Renaissance and Sheraton cover the needs of business men, the crazy 25hours hotel is a great alternative for the funky, yet cool luxury traveler. As soon as you enter the business-block-like building you see the main entrance to the hotel. Being greeted with a friendly and welcoming smile, guests at the 25hours feel like they arrived at a friend's place.
When I was moving upwards to my room, I was quite fascinated by the design of the elevators: cool slogans fit perfectly to the mostly young and fashionable guests. After I opened the door into my room, I was like 'Oh my god - this is bigger than expected'. A spacious entrée opened onto the bathroom which was equipped with "Stop the Water while using me" toiletries, walk-in shower, toilet and basin. The bedroom was styled in warm beige, green and yellow tones what I found quite matching to the complete design. When I returned from sightseeing, I was so happy to find some hours of sleep in these comfortable beds. All in all there was absolutely missing and I found that the hotel has got a lot more to offer than other top hotels in the city.
The use of city bicycles and Mini cars was free of charge, as was the cool "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door with different moods on it so you could adjust it to each and every situation. As a unique selling point of the hotel, the 25hours Zurich West features Zurich's only Neni's food outlet - a completely oriental restaurant. At first we were a bit sceptical about the concept but once you finally ordered your dishes, you kind of begin to like it. We tried the famous Hummus, oriental-styled burger and tuna. Everything was of top quality and the never-ending choice of Gin made our evening even more adorable. Make sure to order one of their Signature Gin cocktails for a completely perfect evening.
