As one of the last few old school privately owned luxury hotels in Germany, this property has the advantage to offer elegant furniture with expensive materials. All staff members are working hard to be perfect and always met our expectations. Arriving by car was no problem at all, as they even have a private parking garage inside the hotel. Check-in was fast and the kind guest relations manager (who was sitting on a separate table in the Lobby throughout the day and always open for concerns and extra requests!) was accompanying us to our Executive Twin Room.

In fact it was a super spacious room/junior suite (at most hotels today) with an optically separated living- and bedroom. Beside a big sofa there was an armchair, a writing desk and a coffee table with welcome gifts and a fruit plate. A big plus were the complimentary drinks from the minibar, although it is not clear if they mean all drinks or only non-alcoholic drinks ;). The best were the heavenly beds with comfy pillows as well as a finally spacious and bright bathroom with (YES!) a walk-in shower with rain shower head, separated toilet, double vanities with Molton Brown toiletries (a conditioner and bath salts would have been a lovely touch) and last but not least a bath tub. All in all, we were very satisfied with our room and the cleanliness was perfect.

Breakfast is priced at 32 euros per person (complimentary for Leaders Club members) but I would say it is worth it, since the quality and service is top, egg dishes and extra dishes could have been ordered. The ordered pancakes were wonderfully decorated with lots of fruits and tasted wonderful. Also the Champagne was a lovely add-on. If you plan to stay there, make sure to visit Jimmy's Bar - we had excellent cocktails, however please note that it's one of the last smoker's bars.
