Cocktail night at Tabik Restaurant, Lisbon

After a hard day of sightseeing we finally arrived at the chic and modern Tabik restaurant in the centre of Lisbon. The young livley female F&B assistant manager and hostess Soraia welcomed us super friendly and we felt welcome from the first second - this feeling stayed during the whole evening! The name comes from the chequers in the wall which are called "Tabik" in portuguese.

First we got showed around the restaurant, sadly we didn't have the time to eat there. It is newly designed with oak wood - it gives the restaurant a wonderful bright but comfortable light. The wood is combined with moss - a wonderful disruption which is very fresh. The restaurant is sitauted in a brand new hotel which also has a garden and a pool, this area is served by the bar of the Tabik Restaurant and it's a perfect place to chill out and escape from the hustle and bustle outside the restaurant.

When we came back to the restaurant area a table next to the bar was prepared for us. Now the adventure began. We ordered a "Olivia", a cocktail with Gin Mare - our favourite gin - a syrup out of olive, lemon and orange juice. That's a fresh cocktail with a spacial taste of olive so it's a perfect start! The other one was anfresh cocktail based on rum combined with pineapple, orange juice and cinnamon. Decorated with a flambéed pineapple with cinnamon - a true joy for the palate.

The kind bartenders subscribed everything on the tabel and gave advices for every desire. The second cocktail was a Gin Mare with the 1724's tonic water - the best combination, as many ginlovers say. The bartender interpreted the Gin Tonics in two different ways: first with basil and second with rosmary and fresh zest of orange. Both were amazing.

Did I allready mention the wine bar? It was so cool - a rount table with maybe 15 bottles around. All bottles were installed to get served by the glass. I want this in my kitchen ;)!

But now to the last cocktail: We wanted something with rum so the bartender did his best and brought us a "JuLab". I truely have no idea what have been in it and maybe it was a little to strong for us after a bottle of wine and two cocktails :D - but the taste was amazing!

We were guests of Tabik Restaurant and our cocktail night was sponsored.
