Restaurant-Check: El Club Allard, Madrid **

​As we arrived at this luxurious two michelin starred restaurant we firstly took the wrong entrance. Opposite of the restaurant, there is a (more less secret) private social club. The hostess helped us and accompanied us to our table in the wonderful designed hall - very elegant and royal but not overstated.

The sommelier did welcome us with a glass of champagne.

In front of us at the table, there was kind of a business card of the restaurant and as we found out during the evening they were our first amuse-bouche. These cards were like wafers and served with a delicious cream. The second amouse was a smoked eel with kind of a coconut cream.

Our first course was a shot of fish topped with aspargus espuma and has been accompanied by crunchy bread with salmon caviar. A egg and truffle cupcake followed as a delicacy.

Afterwards, a sea rice, which was cutted pulpo was served with green "real" rice chips - funny idea, the waiter told us the ingredients after finishing!

A wonderful duck with mushed corn made the start into the main courses.

The black cod was amazing and wonderfully served. 

For all lamb lovers, the next course would be a joy. 

A hibiscus flower espuma was served in an eatable bowl. The first desert was a variation of pineapple disguised as a pear. Logically a chocolate desert should not be missing, Chocolate rocks with a fascinating soft texture was accompanied by pistachio.

The last course threw us back to our recently finished schooltime ;-) .
